Your privacy matters. Online Free Ruler is designed to work without collecting personal information. This policy explains what we do and, more importantly, what we do not do with your data.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal information to use the ruler. We do not sell personal data. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include so that we can respond to your request.
Data Stored on Your Device
To keep the ruler accurate between visits, your calibration setting (screen pixel density), preferred unit, and theme are saved in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it anytime from your browser settings or with the Reset option in the calibration dialog.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are popular and which countries visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. This data is not used to identify you individually. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by enabling tracking protection or an ad blocker in your browser.
Third-Party Services
The site is served as static files and loads a web font from Google Fonts and analytics scripts from Google Analytics. When Google advertising is displayed, the site also loads advertising resources from Google and its ad-technology partners. Your browser may contact those providers' servers to fetch these resources, which is subject to their own privacy practices.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense to help support the availability of this free service. When Google ads are displayed, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads on this site. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to show ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites.
Advertising Choices
You can manage or opt out of Google's personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of certain third-party vendors' personalized advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page.
